Relaxation and Stress Reduction - with Christine Mosley

"Reiki practice is about offering care, comfort and relaxation through touch.

The Reiki treatment creates a space where we can let go of stress and find renewed balance - a space where healing can take place."

Christine is the coordinator for the Reiki Program provided by the non-profit organization CAUSE - Comfort for America's Uniformed Services at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda and at Ft. Belvoir. She volunteered at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC from 2009 until it closed in 2011, giving Reiki treatments and teaching Reiki self care classes to the wounded soldiers and their families.

In addition to her work with the military, Christine is offering Reiki treatments and Reiki classes at Fairfax Station Chiropractic in Northern Virginia.

Reiki self-treatment has helped Christine take better care of herself. Christine has a warm, calm and inviting presence. She enjoys sharing with her clients what Reiki practice has done for her, and helping them enter onto a path of wellness.

Reiki practice has its origins in Japan. Christine has completed two Reiki master trainings in the Usui Takata Lineage. She is also a Gendai Reiki master in the Usui Hiroshi Doi Lineage. Training with three Reiki masters from different lineages has made Christine profoundly knowledgeable about Reiki practice, its history and its many varied techniques.

Christine is fluent in German, and has intermediate knowledge of Spanish. She provided the German translation and voice over for Pamela Miles' video "Reiki Integrative Health Care". Pamela Miles is a Reiki master and Integrative Health Care Consultant in New York, and author of "Reiki - A Comprehensive Guide".

Christine is currently enrolled in a Medical Interpreter Training Program, as well as in a Medical Assistant Certification Program. In the future, she envisions working on an Integrative Health Care Team, providing Reiki treatments and Reiki classes to the patients.

Christine hopes to utilize her foreign language and medical terminology skills in order to collaborate in research projects between Germany and the United States. This will enable her to help build bridges between conventional and complementary medical care, and promote transatlantic cooperation in order to cure conditions like TBI and PTSD, and improve cancer care and pain management.

Christine is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider (# 451608-11). She is a member of ABMP - Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals.
